Location: In the studio

Want some help to develop your printmaking ideas or just want some concentrated time in the studio? This is the class for you. Working with professional printmaker and teacher Rob White, this course will allow you to explore techniques for getting the most out of your plates and blocks and improve the production of your prints to a more consistent, professional standard. Explore how to develop your work through printing techniques in both intaglio and relief processes, for example chine collee or a la poupee multiple colour inking, or adding extra plates in monotype or collagraph plates to achieve more complex prints. Spend time with master printer Rob to explore the different properties of inks and find the ones to achieve the results you want, and to improve the quality and presentation of your work.

Bring ideas, drawings and/ or existing plates or blocks to this class to be guided through techniques and methods that will expand the boundaries of your work. You will look at prints by artists who are using printmaking techniques in interesting ways to inform and inspire your work. Suitable for printmakers and artists who want to see how print can be used to develop images and ideas.
