Cost: £320. Includes materials, ink and paper.

This three day course will take you on an exploration of prints and printmaking. It is designed to inspire you by looking at and discussing artists' work, to learn about printmaking from looking at prints and to explore printmaking techniques by making your own images using different techniques. Starting on Friday 22 May with a visit to the Prints and Drawings Room at Tate Britain you will see prints by a range of artists- a fantastic opportunity to get a close look at superb prints. Then, back in the studio that afternoon you will start making your own drypoint prints. On day 2 and 3, you will make etching plates that can be printed together or separately. You will add different techniques to rework and add to the images to create your own finished series of prints. With plenty of one-to-one time with Michelle and Rob, you will make fantastic progress over the three days and a body of work to be proud of.
