All classes taught by Rob White, who works as master printer for major London print studio Paupers Press, where he has printed editions for artists including Grayson Perry, Tom Hammick and Damien Hirst.

Find out how to make successful colour etchings, with the opportunity to try out different inking and printing techniques over the three weeks. Each class can be taken separately, but if you do all three you will have the opportunity to work with existing plates and add to them with one or more extra layers, and to really explore the possibilities of colour roll, chine collee, multi plate printing, rainbow rollover and a la poupee methods.

In this Secrets of the Print Studio series of classes you will learn how to ink in colour and how to make professional decisions about wiping and adjusting your printing inks to achieve the best results from them.

Because different plates require different techniques to get the best results, these three classes concentrate on etching. Look out for more courses in the New year which will include working in Collagraph and Drypoint.

Advice will be given an paper preparation, on the best way to dampen paper, and on editioning and drying your prints. A wide range of inks and paper are included in the course fee but you are advised to bring all the inks and papers you normally use as well.
