Sunday 7 July 2019, 11.00- 4.00pm

Tutor: Michelle Avison

Cost: £70. Inks and collagraph papers included.

A day of colour printing, experimenting with two etching plates printed together, or exploring colour printing through relief roll and chine collee. A great addition to our Taster Courses this year, you can use the day to develop more complex prints from existing plates made on our other courses, make new plates, or add extra plates, for example using drypoint or monotype, to explore multiple colour printing. Coloured papers for chine collee are included, but you might want to collect and bring particular Japanese or handmade papers, found paper, and patterned paper in particular colours to add to your prints.

Tutor Michelle Avison trained as a painter at the Slade School of Art before going on to study Printmaking at Wimbledon School of Art. This course will help you understand and enjoy colour mixing and how to add interest to your prints by layering and adding colour in different ways.
